Your questions about the books
The most common questions about my books
Four books published so far: - Hypercréation (April 2023): a philosophical-technological essay on machine creativity and the C-Borgs concept; - Hyperprompt (January 2024): a practical prompt engineering manual, a French best-seller; - Hyperarme (March 2025): a foresight essay on AI geopolitics and alignment; - HELO (November 2025): a foresight graphic novel co-created with Nathalie Dupuy, the first open-source comic book.
Hypercréation (April 2023) is a philosophical-technological essay on machine creativity. Flavien proposes a typology of C-Borgs (creative AI-driven machines) and argues that creative AI was born on March 10, 2016, with AlphaGo's Move 37.
The book calls for co-humanism: learning to create alongside machines, without fear or underestimation, by accepting that AI inflicts a fourth narcissistic wound on humanity, after Copernicus, Darwin and Freud.
Hyperprompt is a practical prompt engineering manual with 28 interactive exercises and 29 modules. It became a French best-seller. The underlying thesis: mastering prompts brings the AI revolution within reach of the general public, which is fundamental for democracy.
Hyperarme analyzes AI as a strategic weapon and proposes a third European path: turning AI alignment and safety into an industrial opportunity. The book inspired a European resolution proposal written by Senator Vanina Paoli-Gagin.
HELO (November 2025) is a foresight graphic novel co-created with art director Nathalie Dupuy. It is the first open-source comic book: prompts and assets are released under Creative Commons.
The story follows four main characters of equal weight (Geoffrey Marnier, Alison Almond, Eva Dolopoulous and Randa Grover) as the emergence of a superintelligence becomes a geopolitical battleground. The central question: how do you verify that a superintelligence is aligned when it is also super-manipulative?
Yes, two projects are in progress.
A new essay on AI and science: how AI is becoming a new telescope to explore the infinitely complex (life sciences, materials science, social sciences, complexity sciences such as weather and algorithmics), and could drastically accelerate science in the coming years. The guiding thread: AI's acceleration of AI science itself, and the question of recursive autonomous self-improvement.
Alongside, HELO Volume 2, the sequel to the graphic novel co-created with Nathalie Dupuy.
